Nicholas Bazin

Head Coach & High Performance Director

Level III CFSA Moguls, Level III NCCP, Level II CFSA Aerials, Level III CSIA, Level II trampoline, TSM 1& 2 (Technical Ski Module) CFSA, Air Qualifier, Club Coach Evaluator, Learning Facilitator for some new CFSA coach courses, CAA – Operational Level I and AST Level I.

Nicholas was born and raised in the far away province of Québec. He grew up skiing at Mont Sainte-Anne & began his 12-year coaching career there. He has since coached for Vancouver and Whistler-Blackcombe Ski Clubs.

Nicholas now brings his years of experience & high level of training to the Jasper Freeride Ski Team. Still, he really is just a fun-loving kid at heart!


Eddie Wong

Club Team Coach

CSIA Level I, CANSI Level I, CASI Level I, CFSA Level I, TSM 1 and 2

Eddie’s first experience skiing was at Lake Eden, a half hour west of Edmonton. He was 19 years old & skiing with borrowed gear. Eddie had a blast and, from that point on, avidly pursued the sport.

Prior to joining the Jasper Freeride Coaching Team in the 2009 – 2010 season, Eddie worked for many years with the Marmot Basin Ski School and the Jasper Ski Team (Nancy Greene). So he’s no stranger to the Marmot Basin Resort.

Eddie’s always looking for a new challenge. It keeps him passionate about the sport. Eddie’s got a good eye.


Rob Wood

Club Team Coach

Level I CFSA, Level II CSIA, Level I CASI, TSM 1 and 2

Rob grew up skiing at Panorama with his dad who was from Switzerland & his mom who was from New Zealand. Other sports were not an option.

Rob has worked with the Marmot Basin Ski School for the past 5 years. The 2009 – 2010 season was his first year is his first year coaching the Jasper Freeride Team.

Rob thinks tricks aren’t just for kids.


Angus Sagan

Club Team Coach
Angus has committed to Jasper Freeride. That’s dedication since he drives from Edmonton.

Although Angus is only part-time with the club, he goes full-on when on the slopes.


Randy Timmins

Randy has been with the club for who know how long. The skills and experience he brings to the club is an asset to this club.
