Jasper on January 3rd to 5th, 2020.

Please see the enclosed information regarding registration, lift tickets, banquet,
as well as a provisional event schedule. Registration is on a first come first serve
basis so please sign up soon to ensure your spot. Deadline to register is
December 18th, 2019.

We also recommend that you book accommodations ASAP (see discounted rates
at the end of invitation). Coaches can check in at our event office at the lower
chalet in the Caribou Lounge to complete your registration.

REGISTRATION & COMPETITION RULES

Registration: Registration Deadline is Monday, December 16th, 2019. To
register, please use the following link https://snowreg.com/595-jasper-clubcomp
. Athletes will be registered on a first come first serve basis. Please register
early to avoid disappointment. Coaches should ensure that all athletes
registering for the event can safely ski the venues.

Club Competition Entry Fees: $110.00 per athlete covers both events. Club field
size will be limited to 150 athletes. All athletes must register to compete in both
moguls and slopestyle events.

Payment: Athletes are required to pay online at https://snowreg.com/595-jasperclub-
comp. Athletes are responsible for THEIR OWN registration.

Rules: This event is sanctioned by Freestyle Canada and organized by Jasper
Freeride Ski Club in partnership with Freestyle Alberta. The event is
compromised of two events – club moguls and club slopestyle. All athletes must
have a FC Certified coach present with Aerial Passport readily available to present
to the event jury. Qualification is required for all inverted maneuvers. All
athletes must have an active Club Athlete membership.

Aerial Qualifications: All athletes must have up to date aerial qualifications for
jumps they are performing in all disciplines. The technical delegate will verify a
random selection of athletes qualifications during the team leaders meeting, the
day before each event, with the coach of the athlete. Verification of qualification
will be accepted from any of the following sources:
• signed Aerial Passport held by coach/athlete
• completed & signed qualification forms
• CFSA qualification databank

Age Categories: Athlete’s age for the purpose of categories is determined by
their age on January 1, 2020. Medals will be awarded for U10, U12, U14, U16 age
categories. Underage athletes will compete in the U10 category.
• U10: 8 & 9 years of age as of January 1st, 2020
• U12: 10 & 11 years of age as of January 1st, 2020
• U14: 12 & 13 years of age as of January 1st, 2020
• U16: 14 & 15 years of age as of January 1st, 2020

Athlete CFSA License / Membership: All athletes must have a valid CFSA license
to compete. Club level membership is required.

Bibs: For the Club Competition, clubs are asked to provide their own athletes
with bibs. If clubs do not have access to bibs, Jasper Freeride can loan bibs. For
all bibs, a cash deposit of $20.00 per bib is required and will be refunded upon bib
return.

Bios: Please submit completed athlete bios to the Head Coach. Coaches are to
collect bios and hand in to the registration desk on training day (Friday). Bio
sheet is included in this invite, on the last page.

Banquet (Saturday January 4th): Please extend the banquet invite to your club
membership in advance of registration deadline. Tickets can be purchased at
https://snowreg.com/595-jasper-club-comp. The banquet will be held at the
Jasper Activity Center (303 Pyramid Ave). We will be hosting silent auction and a
cash bar with wine & beer. Doors open 6:00 pm with dinner at 6:30 pm followed
by awards. Banquet ticket prices: $25.00 for 13 years and over, $15.00 for 5 to 12
years of age, Free for 4 years of age and under. Banquet tickets can not be
returned after they have been paid for.

Lift Tickets: Competitors and families: Tickets may be purchased at the Marmot
Ticket Sales Windows (lower chalet parking lot). Best deal: For season pass
holders (from a ski hill with reciprocal agreement) show your ski pass to receive
20% off regular price (taxes not included), otherwise registered athletes can get
10% off of regular lift prices. Please refer to this link for regular prices:
skimarmot.com. Team Coaches: For every 10 athletes registered from your club, 1
complimentary ticket is available for a team coach. This is not for coaches with a
Can-West pass, as per Can-West protocol.

Volunteers: A limited number of free
lift tickets are available on a first come first serve basis to parents/supporters who
volunteer for event positions.
Volunteers: Without volunteers, we can not run a successful event. We always
welcome help from parents of other clubs. If you would like to help, please use

Liability and Accident Insurance: All athletes, officials and other members who
attend and participate in the event shall do so at their own risk. Competitors are
required to have his/her own medical and life insurance and a valid competitor
license. The organizing committee, Jasper Freeride, Marmot Basin, the Alberta
Freestyle Skiing Association, and the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association shall not
be responsible for accidents, injuries, damaged equipment or third party claims
